2015-2016 Publications Guidelines

Original Thesis Works

  • Your thesis must be relevant to the political science field in some significant way. Writers are encouraged to be creative, they are welcome to bridge across two or more disciplines (e.g. Health Policies and Ebola Crisis).
  • There is no page limit. However, we will work with the selected authors on how to edit/shorten if they are selected for publication.
  • Essay must be properly cited in Chicago style, with in-text citations along with a full works referenced list
  •  We warn our potential authors to know that we will be asking you to submit your work on Turnitin or other relevant plagiarism check platform. However, we do have alternative for those not willing to use online platforms. please contact us for details.
  • We ask that all papers have an abstract. If the paper has been a join effort either with a professor supervision or team, you need to mention that along with their contact info.
  • We will be hosting “office hours” throughout the month for writers to come in and get feedback.
  •  You must submit it to “pssa.utsc@gmail.com” with subject PUB Submission + (YOUR FULL NAME)
  • Writers can only submit article in Word or Google Word doc format. PDF is not acceptable.

Creative Articles

  • Article topic must be related to the Political Science field in some significant way. Writers are encouraged to be creative, they are welcome to bridge across two or more disciplines (e.g. Health Policies and Ebola Crisis).
  • You must confirm your topic with the ResPublica team before you submit. The word count is relevant to your proposed topic
  • Alternatively, if you’re having a hard time coming up with a topic, you may ask the team for suggestions
  • We will be hosting “office hours” throughout the month for writers to come in and get feedback.
  •  You must submit it to pssa.utsc@gmail.com with subject PUB Submission + (YOUR FULL NAME)
  • Writers can only submit article in Word or Google Word doc format. PDF is not acceptable.
